Total Paid Hours (per week) & days required: 21 hours per week required to work on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday each week from 7.30am to 3.00pm.
Some additional hours will be required at the start and end of each school year
Salary level, range or hourly rate: School Officer Level 4 - $34.86 per hour (School Salary Scale)/(Services Salary Scale)

About our school: St Anthony’s is a co-educational Catholic primary school administered by Brisbane Catholic Education located in the inner northern Brisbane suburb of Kedron. Established in 1930, our Franciscan tradition rests on the charisms of St Francis, St Anthony and St Clare. About the role - St. Anthonys School, Kedron is seeking applications from suitably experienced and qualified individuals for a 21-hours per week, Term Time School Secretary position to join our Office team.
About you - To be successful in the role, the applicant should be able to demonstrate capabilities and skills by addressing the following criteria:
- Tertiary Qualifications and/or Certificate Training in Office Administration
- Recent administrative experience in a primary school setting
- An understanding and experience working with;
- Microsoft Office 365 Suite of Business Applications
- Various computer software packages deployed by Brisbane Catholic Education including eMinerva, Dynamics, ALLE, Class Cover, Web Self Service, Parent SMS and Parent-Slip
- Communication and Marketing experience in various forms e.g. Facebook, Instagram, Parent Portal, School Website, Electronic signs
- Highly developed written and spoken communication skills to be able to respond to enquiries from staff, students, parents and the general public and address issues in accordance with routines, methods and procedures.
- An ability to show initiative and be responsive to the needs of the highly interactive office environment.
- A capability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines and targets
- Proven skills and expertise in working in a team environment
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy in a busy office environment.
- Competency in First Aid and be the holder of a current Senior First Aid Certificate
- Experience and competency in collating, preparing content, formatting and digitally releasing school newsletters
- Experience and training in Compliance (Student Protection, WHS, visitors, contractors, medication register etc)
