We are seeking a dynamic School Secretary to undertake a diverse range of administration tasks within our busy school.
In this position, you will be the face of our Administration Office, working as part of a collaborative team providing services to parents, students, school staff and the wider school community. The wellbeing of our students is paramount to this role. You will be a student-focused person, capable of working with children from Prep to Year 6.
You must have demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy in a busy office environment. Attention to detail is key.
To be successful in this role, you will have strong ICT skills and be keen to support all staff and help create and. manage marketing materials for the school.
Duties
- Student Attendance / Reception
- Enrolment Management and Marketing
- Student First Aid and Medication Administration
- Administration of filing and online management systems (eMinerva)
- Assisting with organisation of school events and activities
- Bookings – Excursions and internal class/room bookings
- Telephone Enquiries
- Assisting School Leadership Team with various administration tasks
- Blue Card management, telephone and email management;
- Creating weekly school newsletters, staff newsletters and other communication
Skills / Experience
- Administrative experience in a primary school setting
- Highly developed written and spoken communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure while responding to enquiries from staff, students, parents and the general public
- An understanding and experience of working with: Microsoft Office 365 Suite
- Experience with the BCE school administration software would be advantageous (eMinerva, ALLE, Web Self Service, Parent SMS and Parent-Slips)
Qualifications
- Certificate Training in Office Administration or equivalent knowledge and experience in a similar position
- First Aid and CPR certification, or the ability to obtain certification is required
