About you

The successful applicant will support the administrative & practical functions of the College Science Faculty working 65 hours per fortnight: 5 days -  8:30am to 3:30pm. 

This is a permanent, Level 4, position, commencing Term 3, Monday 19 August 2024.

To be successful for this role, you must demonstrate;

  • a commitment to supporting the spiritual and cultural Catholic school environment for young women in the Marist tradition
  • strong organisation and time management skills
  • experience in preparation of practical work for use in the classroom, including general and complex laboratory experiments
  • experience in preparation of simple chemical solutions and, under instruction, more complicated solutions
  • develop and use appropriate storage systems, including those for dangerous and toxic substances consistent with material safety data sheets
  • competence and confidence in using a variety of ICT including Microsoft Office Applications
  • demonstrated ability to follow direction, prioritise and meet set deadlines
  • effective communication skills both written and verbal
  • professional presentation
  • demonstrated ability to work effectively both autonomously and as part of a team
  • flexible, adaptive, and willing to assist with a diverse range of support roles across the College.

You will have attained:

  • familiarity with the Mac OSX, COMPASS, Risk Assess and Google Applications 
  • previous laboratory experience or working knowledge of laboratory processes
  • current First Aid qualifications
  • possess a sound knowledge of current WH&S legislation and guidelines
  • SCS Employee ID number or a commitment to Register to Work in SCS.
