About the role
This is a permanent, part-time, position working Thursday & Friday (14 hours per week) and up to 35 hours (full time) during periods of relief. This position is located at the Nowra Administration Building.
Duties
Reporting directly to the Team Supervisor - Graphics, the focus of this position is to:
- To accurately process and email out daily, Planning (Section 10.7) Certificates and update Section 10.7 statistics.
- Utilise Council’s GIS to research and produce Section 10.7 (planning) certificates and use of TRIM to file all relevant documents and certificates.
- Research and obtain information from various sources both within council and externally to provide accurate and timely information for decision-making purposes and response to enquiries.
- Liaise with other Sections, Groups and members of the public regarding Planning Certificate issues.
- Respond to internal and external telephone and email enquiries.
- Plan and manage own work load and meets deadlines as required.
- Assist in maintenance of Council’s Geographic Information System (GIS).
- Assist in maintenance of Council’s Zones and Control System.
- Responsible for TRIM records with regards to Section 10.7 certificates.
- Prepare monthly reports regarding s 10.7 Certificate numbers and processing time.
- Provide information from researching files for various projects.
- To provide relief secretarial support for Strategic Planning Section staff to ensure all reports, correspondence etc are prepared in a timely and accurate manner.

Skills & Experience
To be successful in the position, you will possess:
- Current Class C Driver’s Licence
- Proof of Australian residency or citizenship, or authority to work in Australia (visa)
- Cert III Business Administration or equivalent experience
- Ability to consult, share information and work collaboratively.
- Ability to demonstrate customer service values including oral and written communication skills to effectively liaise with and communicate information to a diversity of internal and external customers.
