Job description:
We are seeking a Security and Emergency Management Team Lead to join our INPEX HSE team in Perth. Join us in helping shape a brighter energy future.
The SEM Team Lead will provide leadership and directly support implementation of effective Security, Emergency & Crisis Management and Oil Spill Response capability, systems and processes for INPEX Australia.
Key responsibilities include:
• Provide leadership and supervision to the Security and Emergency Management (SEM) team, including
key SEM contractors, to ensure the effective execution of scopes, risk mitigation and performance.
• Oversee the governance of SEM processes and ensure SEM commitments are identified and implemented
to ensure compliance.
• Collaborate with Operations, Drilling and Logistics, Projects and NEBA to ensure SEM processes and
capabilities support INPEX AU activities.
• Proactively work across functions to ensure systems and processes are value adding and complementary
to business needs.
• Ensure Company HSE systems comply with regulatory requirements for the areas in which INPEX operate.
• Assist with ensuring all staff and contractors are familiar with requirements of the facility Emergence
Response Plans, Security Plans and Oil Pollution Emergency Plans.
• Ensure processes are in place to remain abreast of SEM threats, legislative changes, advising on
implications and developing plans to address needs.
• Lead by setting a good example by behaving in accordance with the INPEX values to engage the team to
achieve goals.
Key qualifications, skills and experience required:
• Tertiary level Security, Emergency Management related discipline qualification.
• 10+ years Security, Emergency Management or HSE Related Role.
• 5yr + Resources/ Oil and Gas experience desirable.
• 2+ years in Supervisory Role.
• Excellent understanding of Australian's regulatory regimes relevant to Security and Emergency
Management, ALARP principles, due diligence and duty of care principles.
• Good general understanding of operating environment.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, including the ability to manage an effective, diverse,
geographically distanced team.
