DESCRIPTION
Ring is seeking an experienced individual for executing and driving sales in our retail channel & professional channel for Australia and New Zealand that will result in delivery of sales & profit growth. The Account Manager will define, lead and execute our sales strategy across ANZ region.
The successful candidate will champion this role and own the elements of the existing accounts across ANZ which they will need to optimise and scale to ensure the continued growth in the region. They will work closely with the various stakeholders and teams across Ring and the wider Amazon organisation both locally and internationally. We're looking for someone who has a strong sense of ownership and is excited by the idea of acting both operationally (to tactically get things done) and strategically, creating long term, scalable plans. This role directly reports to Ring's Asia Pacific Managing Director.
We work in a fast-moving and sometimes ambiguous environment the successful candidate will be required to work autonomously, taking responsibility for achieving business objectives. We work with key retailers, implementing long term business plans and driving creative ways to put our technology into more homes, fuelled by our mission to create safer neighbourhoods. It takes a savvy and strategically agile individual to be successful in this role.
Key job responsibilities
- Own and execute growth plan for key accounts in Australia and New Zealand.
- Account management for key accounts; owning the relationship as well as structuring and leading the sales and (external) merchandising / field team. This includes account planning, forecasting, sales, activity calendars, merchandising, and product lifecycle management.
- Own all marketing strategy and planning for retailers, optimising advertising spend to ensure Ring is the market leader in smart home security.
- Analyse industry and Ring internal data to understand competitive landscape across multiple categories and identify customer trends
- Achieve sales & profit goals on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis.
- Work with early adopters of Ring to empower them to spread the word on the company and products.
- Continuously and proactively search for new opportunities to grow our channel
- Perform other duties as may be assigned.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree or a related field or 3+ years relevant work experience in account management.
- Is able to dive deep and is never out of touch with the details of the business
- Strong written and oral communication skills, as well as ability to think clearly, analyse quantitatively, problem-solve and prioritise.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of client or vendor facing roles with a focus in relationship management and negotiation skills experience
- Experience aggregating and analyzing internal and external campaign metrics to assess performance drivers and identify insights
