Senior Accountant role starting ASAP on a 10 month contract!

The Team
This position is a 10-month contract role within the internal finance team, to backfill and provide support as a result of an internal project.
The Role
Your role may consist of the following responsibilities:
- Assisting with the analysis of financial data and preparation of draft reports;
- Assisting with monthly balance sheet reconciliations for all entities;
- Assisting with other financial reconciliations as required;
- Assisting with preparation and maintenance of the fixed asset register;
- Assisting with preparation and maintenance of prepayments;
- Assisting the accounts payable team with preparing local and international payments for processing;
- Accurate coding and data entry of daily invoices into the accounting system in a timely manner;
- Assisting with accounts receivable processes for daily receipting;
- Prepare and posting recurring and ad-hoc accounting journals as required;
- Maintain accurate process notes, documenting changes to key processes and enhancing existing documentation;
- Provides excellent customer service through collaboration, effective communication, delivery of outcomes;
- Manage e-mail inboxes to ensure timely responses to queries;
- Ensuring adherence to firm policies;
- Maintains financial security by following internal accounting controls;
- Share knowledge with team members through effective communication;
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed;
- Assisting with Group Finance activities when required;
- Other ad-hoc duties as required.
- Qualified Accounting Degree
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- 5+ years accounting experience
- CA or CPA qualified
- Experience working in an accounting / professional services firm
