The Company
With significant growth in the last year this Company predominantly services mining. mining contracting and logistics businesses including Blue-Chip Miners and has clients across the globe. The Business has already seen double-digit growth over the last few years and is looking at another bumper year to June FY2024.
The Role
As the Senior Accountant you will be part of a 4 person accounting team reporting into the CFO and supporting him to manage a loyal team including transactional and warehouse staff. The role will be undertaking the day to day management of the team and working with the CFO to ensure projects stay on track. You will also be involved in assisiting with analysis of strategic initiatives going forwards.
Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for coordinating the month-end process to deliver an accurate consolidated monthly management reporting pack with analyses of variances against budget
• Oversee and manage the AR and AP team members
• Partner with the Warehouse Supervisor to ensure the warehouse operates effectively including oversight of stock and inventory management
• Manage treasury functions such as cash flow forecasting, banking, bank guarantee processes and credit cards.
• Monitor the progress of work in progress within the business and provide hands-on support to the Projects teams to drive the
  financial and commercial outcomes of the projects
• Assist the CFO with the preparation of Annual Budgets and Quarterly Forecasts in collaboration with respective departmental / project managers
• Preparation and lodgement of compliant full-year financial statements
• Responsible for managing the interim and annual audit process with external auditors
• Preparation of BAS, FBT returns and informaiton for the Corporate tax return

Required skills and experience

• Post-graduate qualification in accounting such as a CA or CPA qualification (or equivalent)
• 5+ years’ experience in the accounting and mining space with some management experience highly regarded
• High attention to detail and ability to identify patterns and trends
• Self-motivated and proactive with a collaborative working style
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong internal relationships.
• Team player - contributes positively and delivers results on time at a high standard.
• Mining services would be considered favourably
• Strong proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Program skills such as PowerBI and ERP (Navision/Business Central) experience is desirable
