Senior Accountant/ Finance Manager

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join our team in Ballarat. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company, including financial accounts preparation, cash flow management, budgeting, financial reporting, ERP relationship management, financial analysis, and participation in executive management team meetings.

Key Areas of Accountability:

1. Preparation of Financial Accounts: Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial accounts in accordance with regulatory standards.
2. Cashflow Management: Manage cash flow effectively to optimize financial resources and support business operations.
3. Budgeting: Develop and maintain comprehensive budgets to guide financial planning and decision-making processes.
4. Financial Reporting: Prepare and present detailed financial reports to senior management and stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
5. Primary Financial ERP Relationship Management: Act as the primary liaison with the financial ERP system, ensuring its effective utilization and optimization.
6. Financial Analysis and Evaluation: Conduct thorough financial analysis and evaluation of performance trends to identify areas for improvement and opportunities for growth.
7. Participation in Executive Management Team: Collaborate with other members of the executive management team to develop and implement strategic initiatives and drive organizational success.
8. Other Related Support: Provide support and assistance in other financial and operational areas as reasonably required by the organization.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• CPA or CA certification highly desirable.
• Minimum three (3) years’ full-time experience working in an accounting firm or accounting department for a small to medium commercial enterprise.
• Proven experience in a similar finance management role
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
