ABOUT THE ROLE
The purpose of the Senior Accountant is to report on and analyse data to provide insights that help Stacked Farm make informed decisions about the business. The role will work with the Financial Controller, Chief Executive Officer and other department heads to take financial data and identify trends and forecast future performance.
A key hands-on role in the finance team which supports the organisation's performance. You will support the delivery of accurate, timely financial results and analysis, whilst contributing towards continuous improvement.
As part of the finance team your role will be varied and evolving:
- Financial analysis of data to support future growth and new product launches
- Performance measurement of forecast to actual with variance analysis
- Financial modelling of the existing farm to assist future sites
- Costing and reviewing the product mix and documenting assumptions
- Updating the 5 year rolling forecast for the business model
- Multi-entity financial accounting and on-time month end reporting
- Reconciliation of intercompany, balance sheet and general ledger
- Assist with preparation and management of budgets and forecasting
- Assist with working capital management
ABOUT YOU
Required Qualities
- Outcome focused with the ability to achieve results to deadline
- An appreciation of the complexities of running a commercial business with an understanding of the Agritech / Agribusiness sector or manufacturing an advantage
- Excellent well developed problem solving and analytical skills
- Well-developed time management skills, effectively organising and prioritising workloads
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Data savvy and ideally have experience using an ERP system
Required Qualifications/Experience
- Bachelor degree in a relevant discipline
- CPA / CA qualified
- Minimum 7 years experience in commercial or manufacturing accounting
