ABOUT THE ROLE
Significant growth has resulted in the Group seeking the assistance of a new Senior Accountant. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the successful candidate will possess excellent people and communication skills. You will have great stakeholder management and be able to develop and maintain professional working relationships within the various functions within the business.
You will also be inquisitive in finding solutions to business problems and enjoy mentoring a small, dedicated team. You will drive continuous improvement and be strategic minded.
This role will be both rewarding and demanding.
DUTIES
You will be responsible for:
- Trust Accounting
- Company Accounting
- Audit Preparation
- Balance Sheet Reconciliations
- FBT Returns
- Month end result analysis
- Bas returns
- Lease accounting
- Preparation of monthly reports
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Sound analytical skills including an inquisitive approach in everything you do
- Ability to implement systems and procedures
- Advanced computer skills
- Strong decision-making skills
- Strong ability in prioritising multiple tasks
- CA/CPA qualified
- Candidates should have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience, preferably in the Construction and/or Maintenance services sector and have a strong understanding of ERP systems and associated processes.
