About the Role
Are you a meticulous and experienced payroll professional looking for a challenging role that allows you to showcase your expertise? We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Payroll Officer to join our team!
This role is offered on a full-time basis.
Role and Responsibilities
- Overseeing end-to-end fortnightly payroll processing for 170 employees.
- Collaborating with HR and Finance teams to ensure seamless data integration and accuracy.
- Managing complex award based payroll calculations (SCHADS Award), including penalties, deductions, and tax withholdings.
- Staying up-to-date with changing payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
- Identifying process improvements and implementing best practices for efficiency.
- Generating various payroll reports and reconciling discrepancies.
- Assisting in audits and providing necessary documentation.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience (5+ years) in payroll processing, with a strong understanding of payroll principles, regulations, and compliance.
- Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data processing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Our core business hours are 08.30 - 4.30 Monday-Friday but we do offer flexibility and working-from-home arrangements which can be discussed as part of the selection process.
A Working with Children Card and valid Police Clearance within 3 months will be required (or be willing to apply for one as part of the onboarding process)
