Senior Accounts Officer

Verve Partners is working with a locally owned and operated commercial building company based out of Rutherford.
They are seeking a permanent, full-time (9am-5pm) Senior Accounts Officer to join their team. This position plays a pivotal role in their business, managing all aspects of their accounts. This includes payroll, project reporting, preparing budgets, processing BAS and other statutory reports, and accounts payable and receivable.
You’ll be responsible for:

• Controlling all accounting requirements for the business
• Providing financial information for project reporting
• Preparing budgets and weekly cash flow forecasts
• Process BAS and other statutory requirements
• Managing the end-to-end payroll process
• Ensuring vehicle registrations and insurances are up to date
• Other ad hoc accounts and admin tasks as required

Essentially you’ll have:

• At least 5 years experience in an accounts all-rounder role
• Previous experience in a construction or manufacturing environment will be an advantage
• Proficient with MS suite and confident navigating software, experience with Reckon an advantage
• High attention to detail and the ability to pick up errors
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent time management skills, deadline driven and ability to prioritise tasks
