Location flexible within the Sunshine Coast and Central Region: Bundaberg - Emerald - Gladstone - Hervey Bay - Maryborough - Rockhampton - Sunshine Coast
The Senior Administration Officer key responsibilities are:
- Develop, implement, maintain, and review financial and administrative policies and procedures, including, human resources, payroll processing, travel and accommodation arrangements, asset maintenance to facilitate the effective functioning of the Co-Responder teams.
- Manage the business processes relating to the human, financial and physical resources, including payroll, travel, budget forecasts and expenditure, supply and payment of goods and services, records management, in accordance with current legislative and departmental accounting practices.
- Provide a high standard of skills in a range of software packages and databases in the administration of services
- Contribute to effective teamwork by developing an understanding of the roles and duties of other team members and working collaboratively to deliver services
- Liaise with Departmental officers and other Government and non-Government organisations as necessary.
- Enhance the local regional community by actively practicing and promoting excellence in service delivery and public administration and identifying opportunities for improving regional client service
- Provide timely, effective, high-quality advice and support to the Manager and Youth Justice employees.
- Participate as a member of the Management Team and contribute to strategic and operational planning, reviews and key decision making.
Role specific/technical skills preferred
- Specific to Co-Responder Team is the assistance with processing a manual payroll system SWEAP and an understanding of entitlements for Shift Workers engaged under the Queensland Public Service Officers and Other Employees Award - 2015
