Senior Adviser Strategy & Transformation (200510) 

Maximum Term Contract Full Time - 36.25 hours per week - until 02/04/2025 with the potential for continued work within Redland City Council.

$104,492.03  to $110,868.20  Annually  + up to 12% super  

RCC Officers' Level 7

Guided By Our Values, Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Strategic Business Partnering: Collaborate closely with managers, leaders, and supervisors across business units to gain a deep understanding of our corporate and business objectives. Build strong relationships and deliver expert advice and solutions that support our strategic vision and the achievement of our Corporate Plan.
  • Business Transformation and Improvement: Lead the development and delivery of our Business Transformation and Improvement Program. Advocate for and promote business improvement methodologies and approaches, driving tangible results throughout the organisation. Manage the implementation of our Business Transformation Strategy and Innovation Framework, fostering a culture of innovation and capability within the organisation.
  • Strategic Planning: Take the lead in developing and implementing our five-year Corporate Plan. Ensure alignment with our strategic planning processes and high-level decision-making, while integrating strategies, policies, financial plans, and sustainability indicators. Maintain best practice planning methodologies and governance processes to drive strategic alignment across the organization.
  • Culture and Capability Development: Support the development of a culture of innovation and capability across the organisation. Facilitate learning opportunities and mentor others in strategic planning principles, business improvement methodologies, and the application of our Integrated Planning Framework and Innovation Framework.
  • Innovation Management: Establish and manage processes for innovation benefits management, including benefit identification, validation, capture, reporting, and reinvestment. Facilitate the identification, analysis, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of innovation initiatives. Work in partnership with internal stakeholders to support the proposal and advancement of innovation or service opportunities.

What You Will Bring to the Role:

  • Strategic Thinker: You have a demonstrated understanding of strategic planning, corporate planning, and business improvement, coupled with the ability to challenge assumptions and drive innovation.
  • Stakeholder Management Skills: You will possess excellent interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, enabling you to build strong relationships and drive positive outcomes.
  • Project Management Experience: You have a proven track record of leading and managing complex projects, inspiring new thinking, and driving the delivery of corporate priorities.
  • Excellent Communication: You’re writing, and documentation skills are top-notch, allowing you to effectively communicate complex ideas and concepts to diverse audiences.

Eligibility:

  • Tertiary qualifications in business, project management, change or business improvement would be highly regarded.
  • Certification in Lean Thinking/Continuous Improvement/Change Management Methodologies
