The Project
Southern Program Alliance based on the Frankston line is one of five alliances responsible for removing 110 of Melbourne’s most dangerous and congested level crossings by 2025.

Your strong leadership skills will be integral to the success of this role and in turn the delivery of the package. Communication, development and leadership will be critical in producing a successful outcome for your team, the community and the business. It is your responsibility to ensure your team keep the community well informed and engaged on the impacts of the project.
Responsibilities:
- Managing and coordinating the day to day community and stakeholder engagement activities, including identifying impacted stakeholders, handling public enquiries and complaints and the production and distribution of stakeholder notices, letters and presentations.
- Leadership and development of your team and supporting your direct reports.
- Review and/or Prepares community communications and engagement plans.
- Develop and maintain project communications material.
- Proactively represent the Community Relations team in the community and at public functions.
- Ensure the Southern Program Alliance establishes and maintains positive and proactive relationships with local communities.
- Provides analysis on engagement activities and interactions with the community.
- Complete records of all stakeholder contacts and reports.
- Assist with communicating construction impacts to the Community.
- Assist with running construction reports as required.
- Relevant Tertiary Qualifications or demonstrated experience across both Communications and aligned industry.
- At least 4 years’ professional experience in stakeholder management, customer or community liaison or similar.
- Demonstrated experience developing and leading a team of professionals in the community/customer based space.
- Demonstrated high level interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with the public, stakeholders and community and present to the larger groups.
- Skilled in writing and the preparation of a diverse range of communication materials.
- Experience in data collection, analysis and evaluation.
- Excellent listening skills with the ability to demonstrate understanding and empathy.
- The capacity to adapt communication styles based on the audience and required outcomes.
