This position is responsible for supporting the execution of Group Treasury funding transactions and maintenance of funding programs within ING Australia.
This role will manage key external stakeholders relationships and provide analysis of market information to ensure we can execute transactions successfully in the external landscape. Managing stakeholders, you’ll prepare committee recommendations while responding to queries and preparing investor presentations.
You’ll thrive in this role using your skills to assist with negotiating legal documentation relating to funding initiatives as well as coordinating and completing annual funding program updates.
In this key role you’ll manage the internal risk assessment process and policy updates as well as assisting with internal and external audit requirements.

What you’ll do
- Assist with execution of funding and Capital activities to ensure new assets are funded efficiently
- Maintain and update funding documentation including RMBS structures
- Assist with internal and external reporting
- Interpret legal documentation to cross reference against cash flow waterfalls
- Focus on a superior governance environment to meet internal and external requirements
- Assist on ad hoc projects, including broader treasury, and funding activities
- Liaise with external counterparties including banks, rating agencies and trustee
- Engage with various internal stakeholders including Finance, Legal, and Tax & Risk when required.
- 3+ years experience within debt capital markets
- An understanding of structural features of RMBS and covered bond transactions
- Bank regulatory capital knowledge or background (nice to have)
- Rating agency or legal experience to review transaction structures (nice to have)
- Proficiency in data analysis / interpretation / model manipulation
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups, complex formulas, VBA)
