The Senior Analyst, Quality Engineer will be part of a specialist team/community working across all disciplines (Testing Framework Adoption and Enablement, Test Automation, Continuous Integration/ Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), Performance Engineering, Service Virtualisation & Monitoring and Quality Analytics), to enable and transform Quality practises within one or more of the Banks Technology Service Teams. This will require innovation by setting and owning the framework with new and existing tools, processes, practices and industrialising them into a regular delivery cycle supporting the team way of working.
The successful candidate will be required to have growth mindset and apply relevant specialist knowledge and experience to understand, influence and advise internal and/or external clients.
Your core responsibilities will include
- Driving continuous improvement in software quality including automated testing coverage operational and security controls (towards 100%)
- Setting quality standards, guidelines and expectations of all code outputs delivered by the service team(s)(from any engineer)
- Ensuring quality improvements and requirements needs are included in feature / story acceptance criteria
- Monitoring code quality automation supporting CI/CD pipeline in real-time
- Managing transition from outsourced manual and/or assisted testing to automated/real-time/continuous hands-off testing
- Be accountable for the delivery of quality solutions to both internal and external customers
- Managing dedicated testing work done by third parties (the amount of work, timing, output quality expectations etc) within broader vendor contracts and service expectations
- Effort estimates and actuals to deliver stories/features
- Design and enable the execution of an automation test framework e.g Cucumber for the service, ensuring traceability back to user stories
- Review all phases of unit, Business and other QA to ensure testing coverage with requirement traceability in collaboration with Service Team(s)
Experience in sanctions screening and payments technologies is highly desirable
Demonstrated experience in a senior/autonomous role as a Tester/Quality Engineer
Experience in API testing
Experience in the use of Tools such as Selenium, Postman, Performance centre, Jmeter, gradle, Jenkins, github.
Must have Java experience
Familiar with Docker, MQ and Kafka
Cloud certification preferred
Experienced with automated testing as part of CI/CD, service availability and security posture integrity alignment with Continuous Delivery
In depth knowledge of Quality Engineering within Software Engineering for CI/CD code deployment into the Cloud (AWS or GCP required)
Experience in all forms of testing including system, functional, regression, progress, integration, performance and post implementation testing
Progression automation and adoptability to the framework uplifting the Service Teams delivery quality capability
Experience of testing end to end solutions/services in integrated and/complex environments
Ability to develop or enhance modify the Quality framework to support Service Teams delivery
Strong verbal communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills
Time bound testing skills and ability to meet specified deadlines
