S/4HANA Finance Systems Accountant - Senior Analyst

About the Role

A full-time permanent role has become available within our Finance Systems and Transformation team. Internally referred to as the Senior Analyst, you will assist our finance community with Finance systems governance and process support with relation to our S/4HANA SAP system, Blackline, Banking and other related systems.

In addition, you will help with improving these systems and finance take up of these systems and processes.

What you'll be doing:

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Finance Systems & Transformation you will:

• Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing subject matter expertise.
• Lead the transition of additional systems and services into the team by identifying user requirements, establishing support processes and documenting operating procedures including roll out of training.
• Identify regular process or system failure trends and perform root cause analysis to feed to technical support and/or transformation teams to enable sustainable solution changes.
• Safeguard the ongoing integrity of Finance systems by upholding the control, data governance principles and master data standards of AGL. This includes reviewing changes to compliance with these principles and standards, education of stakeholders as required, and ensuring process excellence in everything we do.

Requests will include but are not limited to:

• Maintain the enterprise structure master data - creation of new GL accounts, cost centres and profit centres, edits to the cost centres, profit centres hierarchies, bank accounts and financial statement versions
• Maintenance of exchange rates and activity rates Maintenance of users in multiple systems, bank accounts in banking software and administration of bank accounts,
• Maintenance of the investment management structure
• Monitor interfaces and batch jobs, resolve any issues.
• Understand the Finance risk and control matrix, and periodically review the effectiveness of the system and process controls.
• Enable accurate and timely financial processes by controlling the opening and closing of periods across ledgers and modules.

You will also be required to:

• Assist with the integration of new businesses within the AGL group.
• Develop a detailed understanding of the systems processes to support user queries, provide new user support and conduct training sessions.
• Supervision of an Analyst reporting and supporting you.

About You

You are a proven Finance Systems Accountant and strong influencer with demonstrated experience in Finance Systems. You will have excellent communication skills, and a strong ability to build and maintain relationships. In addition, you will be improvement oriented with a can-do attitude, with the ability to work in a team environment as well as autonomously.

What you'll bring to the table:

• Finance background, with SAP administration experience, including FICO, AFO, BPC, Project Systems, Assets and Investment Management.
• Procurement and Plant Maintenance experience desirable.
• Ability to learn other systems quickly and identify points of interconnection from both a data and process perspective.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills and strong ability to build and maintain relationships with the ability to influence teams not directly under your control.
• Detail orientated with an analytical approach and a passion for problem solving.
