About the role:
The Senior Analyst - Sustainability Strategy, will monitor and research sustainability aspects that may affect Origin and provide quantitative and qualitative analysis of global and domestic sustainability risks and opportunities, that can contribute to Origin’s strategic growth or adversely affect the company’s operational effectiveness and risk profile.
Success in this role will help Origin differentiate through our sustainability performance and contribute to Origin demonstrating how we are achieving Origin’s purpose and living our values.
Why this role matters?
- Monitoring activity (both internal and external) on sustainability factors that may affect Origin.
- Report on and provide quantitative and qualitative analysis and insights on sustainability factors that may improve Origin’s sustainability performance, presents risks or opportunities, and provide recommendations for improvements associated with existing and emerging sustainability aspects.
- Help drive continuous improvement of quantification, and data integrity of sustainability aspects.
- Maintain a thorough and detailed knowledge and understanding of leading practice and emerging sustainability aspects.
- Engage with a broad range of internal stakeholders and build consultative and effective relationships.
- Drive the operationalisation of sustainability aspects and considerations into the business.
- Identification, collation and communication of sustainability risks and opportunities.
- Positively contribute to internal engagement.
You will have demonstrated experience and understanding of Sustainability related issues, frameworks, and concepts.
- Strong analytical, research & critical reasoning skills.
- Ability to operate independently, effectively manage multiple projects and activities concurrently to designated specifications and timeframes.
- Strong attention to detail, effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to liaise and communicate across multidiscipline teams.
- Tertiary qualifications that support the analytical demands of the role (this could include a finance, engineering or Sustainability-specific discipline).
- Proficiency with Excel, Power Point, Word.
