About the role

Supporting the Head of Markets Group, you will execute deal flow across Equity and Debt Capital markets and Alternative transactions and lead, manage and formulate the strategic direction for Syndication.

In addition, you will develop strategies to enable the delivery of the financial, risk and strategic objectives of JBWere, to deliver strategic plans appropriately and with minimal risk.

Accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

• Ensure that all capital markets transactions across ECM, DCM and Alternatives are managed in a compliant, accurate and timely manner
• Prepare and execute all deal flow documentation and communications to the JBWere advice network in accordance with Legal requirements
• Manage ECM/DCM partners (NAB, UBS, Moelis and potentially others) in pre deal capacity and coordinate with internal stakeholders across Markets & Investments Group (MIG) team members and advisors in assessing potential transaction demand from clients as required
• Work closely with Business Managers, advisors and operations to ensure effective management through to settlement of capital markets transactions
• Produce and set-up training as and when required for the JBWere advice network to educate on new products and processes
• Automate and ensure efficiency of processes across the teams

Qualifications:

• At least 7 years’ experience in large Financial Services organisations, specifically experienced in the Equity/Debt capital market space
• A tertiary qualification in commerce, economics, business or finance
• A proven track record in engaging the workforce, while achieving results
• Demonstrable experience with ECM/DCM
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to appropriately engage stakeholders
• Advanced Excel experience and skills (including macros / VBA) highly desirable
