Key responsibilities for the role (Note: the following 3 points are to be addressed in your written application/statement)
* Undertake expert analysis of complex application issues and problems as reported by clients and/or the DJAG IT Service Centre and provide appropriate resolutions or workarounds to resolve the issues/problems within service level agreement targets.
* Provide analysis, operational support, systems development and technical system administration services for departmental application systems and Integration components.
* Analyse business requirements, provide guidance and advice, design, build and implement application and Integration solutions that address business requirements and satisfy relevant departmental, government and industry best practice/standards.
Other duties
* Liaise effectively with clients, federated groups and external stakeholders on Applications and Integration matters. This includes the ability to work with federated groups to troubleshoot problems then enhance application technologies utilising established change control methodologies.
* Maintain knowledge of current trends, industry and technology directions and product road maps for Applications and Integration support, administration and development methodologies and technologies.
* Actively develop, implement and maintain standards, guidelines and knowledge base articles for applications support, administration and development while ensuring compliance to relevant industry standards and government policies.
* Support the continuous improvement of the Department's Applications and Integration including the monitoring and tracking of client feedback for improvements or additions and the optimisation of business systems to ensure their efficient, effective and secure operation.
* Performs other essential duties and tasks specific to the position as required.
