About the role
The Senior Asset Accountant will support West Moreton Health to achieve corporate goals through provision of timely and quality advice, reviews, modelling and business performance analysis. The Senior Asset Accountant will assist in the development and delivery of strategic asset management plans, short and long-term budget planning, comprehensive revaluations and the coordination of monthly and annual asset processes and reporting.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Expert ability to provide technical advice on the interpretation and implementation of Accounting and Government Standards in relation to assets.
- Ability to plan, lead and manage a team and achieve desired outcomes within specific deadlines and approved resource allocations.
- Ability to investigate, analyse and make decisions in relation to asset accounting and administration matters which enhance the efficiency, effectiveness and quality of financial management and administration, and contribute to enhanced financial outcomes.
- High level oral and written communication skills including the ability to lead, persuade and implement change. Proactively engages with staff at all levels and external stakeholders to seek opportunities for improvement.
- Proven exposure in asset accounting (lifecycle costing / management and componentisation of complex assets would be advantageous).
Mandatory Requirements:
- Membership to Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) / Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia (ICAA) would be highly desirable.
