Senior Audience & Insights Analyst

    Where the team fits in

    Analytics & audience data is at the heart of decision making and drives critical marketing decisions. We have scaled up our Audience Insights and analytics team in the Audience & Marketing division to transform and provide richer data stories and strategic insights across all our key consumer audience segments.

    What the role is all about

    While there’s a good chance no two days will be exactly the same, the key accountabilities for the Senior Audience Insights Analyst are:

  • Provide regular reporting, as required, to support our weekly, monthly and quarterly analysis, including preparing decks on audience performance and KPI, Board materials, etc.
  • Communicate insights regularly with key stakeholders and relevant teams including presentations.
  • Investigate data from a variety of sources to gain insights into consumer audience trends and behaviours and distil these data into reports and dashboards that assist the business.
  • Be at the forefront of competitor trends and insights, ensuring the business is kept informed.
  • Build the self-serve capability for key audience metrics and data sources.
  • Be the key point of contact for customer teams for audience data ensuring data is 100% accurate and sourced correctly.
  • Deliver data visualisation and reports for stakeholders (for internal and external use), creating holistic dashboards by pulling data from different data sources.
  • Work with the team to build a central resource for audience analysis and insights.
  • Manage ad-hoc data requests from customer teams and other internal stakeholders, prioritising accordingly.
  • Be the champion for internal processes and systems and identify process improvement.
  • What we are looking for

  • Demonstrated experience in a data insights or reporting function in relation to digital audience.
  • Extensive experience in digital analytics tools that cover website and mobile usage (eg, Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics)
  • Experience in database interrogation using SQL (intermediate) and BigQuery.
  • Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, vlookup, charts and formulae.
  • Experience using business intelligence systems such as Tableau.
  • Highly analytical, logical, and critical thinker with an eye for detail.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing multiple projects at the same time, within tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional storytelling, visualisation, and stakeholder engagement skills to clearly communicate insights and explain complex analysis in an easy-to-understand way.
  • You are keen to understand audience trends and the stories that data can tell.
  • You are highly inquisitive with experience and a passion for solving problems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to explain complex analysis in an easy-to-understand way.
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude.
  • Strong attention to detail is essential.
  • Work productively in a fast paced and agile environment.
