Senior Bookkeeper

The Company

Ace Property Holdings Pty Ltd is a Share Trading and Property investment company that is part of the Ace Waste Group of companies. We are seeking a talented Senior Bookkeeper to join the team as soon as possible.

The Role

Fully managing the accounting side of property and share portfolio the Senior Bookkeeper will provide end to end financial and management accounting reporting directly to the owner of the business, as well as managing some of the smaller companies within the group. This is a hands-on role that requires you to be onsite 5 days a week
 

• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software
• Preparation of financial reports, including income statements and balance sheets
• Low volume accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
• Accurately recording share trades
• monthly credit card reconciliations – Low Volume
• Preparing information for external accountant for Annual Tax Returns
• Preparation and lodgement of BAS/IAS/CAS for APH
• Complete financial data entry for the maintenance of financial Journals, accruals and records
• Maintain financial reporting calendar & manage monthly reporting cycle checklist
• Reconcile all intercompany transactions and reconcile intercompany loan accounts
• Bank Reconciliations to be completed daily to and ensure that no reconciling items are outstanding at the time of accounts being finalised

Skills & Experience

• CPA/CA qualification desirable however not essential
• Experience using Xero and AccPacc advantageous but not essential
• Excellent attention to detail
• The ability to manage and prioritise tasks.
• The ability to work to strict time constraints.
• Ability to multitask and perform your duties with minimal supervision
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent time management skills
• Good problem-solving skills
• Intermediate to Advanced skills in data entry and Microsoft Office suite of programs (particularly Microsoft excel)
• 3-5 years experience in a similar role
