About the role:

This is a unique permanent opportunity for a functional BA with strong experience in data analytics and reporting. The role will require to run workshops, capture business requirements, write BSD and BRS documents.

To succeed in this role, you must have excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills as you will be liaising with senior leaders in the business. You will also enjoy sharing your knowledge in business analysis gained over your years of experience as a BA.

You will have the opportunity to join our large Analysis Chapter that supports a variety of medium to large scale programs across the Suncorp Group. The Chapter consists of around 200 like-minded analysts, where ideas and best practice are shared via masterclasses and knowledge sharing. You will support projects being delivered in a continuous delivery model (Agile) as well as initiatives using traditional project delivery models.

What you'll do:

• Work closely with squad / project members, including but not limited to Delivery lead, Scrum Master, Developers, Tech Leads, and Business stakeholders to run workshops; identify, capture, plan, document and deliver business requirements; and write BSD and BRS documents
• Create detailed user stories to support delivery.
• Document current and future state processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Work collaboratively with delivery teams and business stakeholders to validate business requirements and develop recommendations and solutions that meet business and customer needs.
• Raise, and support mitigation and resolution of, risks and issues using established tools and frameworks were applicable.
• Suncorp offers a hybrid way of working where you will be expected to be in the office approx. 2 days per week.

What you'll bring:

• ESSENTIAL: Minimum 4 years' business analysis experience from a large organisation
• ESSENTIAL: Data-analysis and reporting experience
• Previous experience mentoring and training junior team members with a passion for sharing your knowledge to create a high performing team environment
• Minimum 3 years' Agile, Lean and waterfall experience including knowledge of Agile practices, workshops, and Agile ceremonies facilitation
• Must be able to translate and understand business and technical requirements and provide appropriate alternatives and solutions to meet those requirements.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, relationship management and influencing skills including experience in dealing with various/senior levels of stakeholders internally and externally.
• Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills
• Strong team player with a positive attitude, willingness to learn and desire to make a difference
• Must be able to manage multiple complex initiatives with competing deadlines, while also working autonomously.
