Leading retailer dedicated to transforming the retail landscape through innovative technology solutions. As they continue to grow, they are seeking a talented Technical Business Analyst with expertise in retail and Point of Sale (POS) projects.
The Role
We're looking for a skilled Technical Business Analyst who is passionate about leveraging technology to drive business success in the retail sector. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of retail operations and POS systems, along with proven experience in analysing business requirements, defining technical solutions, and managing project implementations. Strong retail experience will be highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements for retail and POS projects. Translate business needs into clear and actionable technical specifications.
- Solution Design: Work closely with cross-functional teams to design technical solutions that align with business objectives and industry best practices. Ensure that proposed solutions meet both functional and non-functional requirements.
- System Integration: Identify opportunities for system integration and data exchange between retail systems, POS platforms, and other enterprise applications. Develop integration strategies and oversee implementation efforts.
- Vendor Management: Evaluate and select third-party vendors and technology solutions to support retail and POS initiatives. Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure successful project delivery.
- Testing and Quality Assurance: Develop test plans and coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) for retail and POS systems. Ensure that solutions meet quality standards and address any identified issues or defects.
- Project Management: Lead project planning, execution, and monitoring activities for retail and POS projects. Define project scope, milestones, and deliverables, and track progress against established timelines and budgets.
- Training and Documentation: Provide training and support to end users on new retail and POS systems and processes. Develop comprehensive documentation, including user manuals, training materials, and technical specifications.
- Change Management: Facilitate change management activities to minimize disruption and ensure smooth adoption of new retail and POS technologies. Communicate changes effectively to stakeholders and address any concerns or resistance.
The Candidate Experience
- Strong business analysis experience - preferably in retail environment(s)
- Experience working on POS implementation / projects
- Strong commercial acumen and senior stakeholder engagement
