About the role
We have an opportunity for an experienced Senior Procurement Category Manager to join our team. This role is responsible for Establishing the category vision for facilities management, communicating the strategic direction, Managing internal & external resources effectively to support, develop and execute category plans that produce the desired business results. You will also be responsible for;
- Achieving or exceeding annual efficiency and value targets set against category plans achieved through commercial dealings with suppliers and internal customers.
- To deliver on key programs of work, the Senior Category Manager will demonstrate advanced commercial skills including negotiation, 'should cost' modelling, financial analysis and risk & contract management.
- You will play a leadership role with one direct report to help manager one of the major facilities partnerships which is one of the largest in the business.
About you and your skills
We are looking for an experienced Senior Procurement Category manager who can lead key contract negotiations and done so in a similar environment. You will bring a high degree of energy and passion with the ability to engage and influence. you will also have;
- Related tertiary qualification, ideally with commerce, supply chain management, law or Property category.
- Strong business acumen and negotiation skills gained in major projects and contract negotiations.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills.
- Highly developed commercial experience, possibly gained in other large commercial/FMCG/Retail enterprise.
- Strong experience in procurement or in the commercial management industry.
- Deep value chain management knowledge including the ability to look for value beyond savings via efficiency and quality benefits available through technology.
- Research and networking skills to ensure Coles is at the forefront of industry leading practices and strategic trends.
