The Role

We are looking for a Full-Time Senior Civil Designer who will be based in Buderim on the Sunshine Coast working 40 hours between Monday and Friday.

Responsibilities of this dynamic role include:

• Leading and participating in civil design projects, ensuring their successful completion
• Providing technical guidance, development, and training to our Civil Designers and Cadets, fostering growth within the team.
• Effectively managing project budgets and actively contributing to cost management.
• Self-managing workload while assisting in overseeing the workload of the design team.
• Collaborating closely with our Engineers and Project Managers to achieve project milestones.
• Managing and liaising with subconsultants to ensure project success.
• Demonstrating an exceptional eye for detail and the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines effectively.
• Ensuring compliance with Quality Assurance (QA) and Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) requirements.

The Successful Candidate

It is essential you possess the following:

• 8 to 15+ years of hands-on civil design experience
• Diploma or higher qualification in Civil Engineering
• Strong standards and design knowledge in areas such as roads, earthworks, stormwater and other service designs (sewer, water, telecommunications etc)
• Knowledge of Australian, State and Local Government design Standards.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2d)
• Proficiency in 12d software for 3d road design, earthworks and stormwater projects
• Proven experience in successfully managing civil design projects
• Possession of a current 'C' Class Driver's license
• Proficiency in the use of MS Office Suite and strong computer literacy

Highly regarded, but not essential.

• State and/or local government experience
• Experience with 12d Stormwater modelling
