Senior Designer (Civil)

All Aspects Recruitment & HR Services are currently recruiting a PO4 Senior Designer for a temporary role for 12 months with the possibility of extension.

In the role of Senior Designer (Civil) you will operate in a multidisciplinary team environment and participate in the delivery of planning and design projects as components of transport infrastructure projects and provide expert technical advice and support to the transport infrastructure functional areas in the South Coast Region.

• PO4 pay scale

Duties include:

• Provide expert technical advice and support in relation to planning and detail design processes for transport infrastructure projects aligned with the relevant phases of corridor planning, program development, program delivery, and program finalisation.
• Deliver and at times supervise the development of transport infrastructure design models in the strategic planning, concept, development, and implementation phases of an overarching transport framework for the delivery of projects.
• Ensure that planning and design principles are implemented in accordance with the relevant policies, standards, guidelines and legislation, and that quality management procedures are adhered to.
• Develop road designs utilising 12d and AutoCad.
• Provide support and advice on the planning and design process, to ensure fit for purpose, value for money and best practice are achieved.
• Develop and supervise the preparation of contract documentation, project specifications, drawings, and cost estimates.
• Coach and mentor less experience staff in both technical and business aspects of design and design management.
• Undertake a senior role in project delivery, encourage teamwork and fostering a positive attitude toward the achievement of organisational objectives.
• Responsible to develop and coordinate the work activities of projects, monitor project timeframes, and prioritise tasks to deliver projects and regional requirements.

Requirements:

• A minimum three year, Sydney Accord accredited engineering degree such as a Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Civil) or acceptable equivalent.
• Current holder of a “C” class driver’s licence.
