AddressOur client is a national civil engineering and environmental services provider. They are looking for a Senior Civil Designer to be based in Adelaide.
The Position
Our client is seeking an experienced Civil Designer to join their Design and Drafting team and use their expertise in designing and detailing all aspects of their infrastructure projects.
You will become part of a tightly-knit team that values professionalism, technical and collaborative excellence, while supporting the company's multidisciplinary approach, ensuring that all clients receive optimal solutions. As an experienced Civil Designer joining the Design and Drafting Team, you will play a crucial role within a group of highly skilled specialists.
The Role
Collectively, your team handles the following tasks:
- Providing support to our Transport, Water, Local Government, Development, and Waste Management teams in developing infrastructure design solutions for:
- Roads and highways, transport structures, rail, and aviation
- Water and wastewater infrastructure projects
- Landfill and waste management infrastructure
- Local roads, stormwater design, municipal and urban development projects
- Utilizing proficiency in modelling and drafting using AutoCAD, 12d, and/or Civil 3D
- Working collaboratively with Engineers to design and draft for a diverse range of infrastructure projects.
The Candidate
In addition to your exceptional teamwork, stakeholder management, and written and verbal communication abilities, the following qualifications and experiences would ideally contribute to your success in this role:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience using 12D and/or Civil3D and AutoCAD.
- At least 5 years of design experience in various areas of general civil design, such as Water and Wastewater infrastructure, Road Reconstruction, Road Design, Public Realm Design, Land Division Design, and Stormwater Design.
- Experience in Water and Sewerage design, encompassing pipelines and pump stations.
- Proficiency in Austroads and relevant Australian Standards.
- Experience in designing for State Government road authorities.
- Experience in landfill design, bulk earthworks design, or tailings design.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and a focus on delivering quality outputs.
