*12 Month Contract Opportunity on the Gold Coast*
As a Senior Designer (Civil), you will work within a multidisciplinary team and contribute to planning and design projects related to transport infrastructure. You will offer expert technical advice and support to the region’s transport infrastructure functional areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert technical guidance and support for planning and detailed design processes in transport infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with corridor planning, program development, delivery, and finalisation phases.
- Develop and occasionally oversee the creation of transport infrastructure design models during the strategic planning, concept, development, and implementation phases of transport projects.
- Implement planning and design principles in compliance with relevant policies, standards, guidelines, and legislation, and ensure adherence to quality management procedures.
- Assist in reviewing external consultancy services for design provision.
- Offer expert advice and problem-solving support to various stakeholders throughout the planning and design process to ensure successful completion of transport infrastructure projects.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to identify and address needs, expectations, and issues impacting project success.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering and or equivalent experience
- Minimum 4 years experience in a civil design role
- Develop road designs utilising 12d and AutoCad and ensure adherence to quality management procedures
- Maintain and apply all relevant standards, policies, guidelines and legislative requirements necessary for the planning and design of road infrastructure projects
- Current C-class driver’s licence
