Job description

What you will do- Using your high level knowledge and expertise you will assist in the allocation, management and reporting of transactional activities through a virtual environment.- You will be responsible for ensuring that Customer and Business Services (CBS) allocated Biosecurity Queensland (BQ) tasks meet relevant timeframes and are of a good standard.- Provide information, support, advice and training to CBS staff and businesses on more complex customer and administration support activities such as but not limited to Registrable Biosecurity Entities (RBE) processing and legislation.- Where applicable coordinate facility support and maintenance activities when required to ensure a safe and functioning work environment for clients and stakeholders, this may include:o site inductions for contractorso obtaining quotes for services and repairso first point of contact for maintenance issues- Support Facility Management activities at the Tor Street Office such as accommodation requests, maintaining access registers, supporting site & safety committees and site communication.- Provide high quality administrative and customer support to internal and external clients, completing required duties to achieve outcomes in line with defined service standards.- Demonstrate critical judgement, decision making and content knowledge to develop and advise appropriate solutions for client (internal/external) and stakeholder needs.- Demonstrate proficiency in the use and maintenance of administrative and customer support systems, utilising relevant tools and technology to assist with efficient and effective delivery of administrative services.- Provide accurate and efficient financial transaction processing by applying knowledge, judgement and decision making skills to complete required financial and administrative duties in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.- Support the development of high quality, accurate and easily understood documentation and collateral for Department of Agriculture and Fisheries (DAF) clients and employees, ensuring required information is presented in a clear and easily understood manner.- Demonstrate a commitment to continual learning and development, including providing and seeking regular feedback on ideas, suggestions and solutions with relevant stakeholders.- Provide support to senior DAF representatives in liaising with employees and external stakeholders to assist in achieving outcomes and maintaining effective internal and external working relationships.- Comply with and adhere to Department of Agriculture and Fisheries and Queensland Government policies, procedures, standards and legislation relevant to the role and work area.- Support an inclusive and harmonious team culture by actively contributing to initiatives and demonstrating professionalism, respect and support in all workactivities.- Undertake specific administration duties and project activities as directed.
