Job DescriptionWhat you will do:
Reporting to the Commercial Finance Manager, the Senior Commercial Accountant is responsible for providing financial insights, analysis and decision-support to key stakeholders and departments within the NRMA Parks & Resorts organisation. As a Finance business partner, the role acts as a trusted advisor, offering financial expertise and guidance to enable informed decision making and drive sustainable commercial growth. The role requires close collaboration with the business to drive business performance, optimise resource allocation, and achieve strategic objectives.
- Preparation of monthly profit and loss statements, including journal postings, cost analysis and variance commentary
- Prepare timely and accurate management reports, rolling forecasts and annual budgets
- Partner and collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic and operational decision making
- Develop dashboards and reporting for financial performance, capital expenditure, and qualitative operational metrics and drivers
- Prepare financial models and business cases to evaluate investment opportunities and resource allocation
- Continuously update financial forecasts based on changing business conditions, market trends and potential risks
- Identify opportunities for operational efficiencies, cost savings and process improvements across the organisation
What you will bring:
- Bachelor of Business (Finance, Economics, or Accounting)
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a comparable role
- CA/CPA Qualifications
- Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of business systems and exposure to ERP accounting systems (Netsuite and TM1 favourable)
- Efficient time management skills to meet deadlines
- An Affinity with the NRMA Group culture, vision and the holiday park industry is a bonus!
- A desire to maintain strong relationships by ensuring proactive contact with stakeholders.
