About the opportunity
This position reports to the Commercial Director and leads commercial activities across defined spend categories. This works closely with Service Directors, Project Managers, key stakeholders across the Company and the Company’s customers or Shareholders.
Key responsibilities of this role include:
- Leading commercial strategy and delivery of procurement initiatives across a variety of spend categories with requiring subject matter expertise in contact centre operations, technology and workplace initiatives.
- Work with business partners to support their procurement needs including development of commercial strategies, sourcing, negotiation, and renewal activities.
- Managing complex, high value/risk procurement lifecycle categories and processes to deliver value effectively and efficiently.
- Establish supplier panels through strategic sourcing and developing panel management processes that support volume allocation across suppliers, and rapid deployment of solutions.
- Conduct contract supplier performance reviews and continuous improvement initiatives in collaboration with the contract owners.
- Pro-actively review existing spend and collaborate with the business to predict, manage, and optimise value.
- Ensure compliance to Procurement policies and ensure operational processes are implemented and maintained.
- Support the team and broader organisation to improve source to pay process and procedures.
- 7+ years procurement, contract management or commercial management experience
- Experience leading RFPs/EOIs to successful and timely outcomes in information technology-based environments.
- Experience in identifying new vendors that category management planning and delivery.
- Experience in creating the environment to stimulate competition in a category.
- Experience in creating and effecting change to deliver greater scale, efficiencies, and value.
