The role is to lead a team of specialists and work with our business partners to support customers who are experiencing financial difficulty or vulnerability and develop balanced outcomes for them.Our outcomes are focused on rehabilitation and returning management of customers to the relationship teams. - Supervise and manage workloads of a team of approx. 4-5. This includes oversight over their performance, and compliance in line with regulation and internal policies, procedures and risk and compliance frameworks
- Role-model and lead the delivery of best practice service, and outcomes that meet credit and compliance requirements
- Inspire your team with coaching & development to meet business performance targets and standards. You will also support continuous improvements within your team to assist targets being achieved by providing high quality and consistent interactions with customers & other business units
- Manage complex enquiries and complaints within your area of control, act as point of reference for escalated enquiries from stakeholders
- Work collaboratively with peers, business partners and stakeholders to build strong and effective relationships and ensure your team are delivering on our GCS Purpose. This includes representing GCS at local risk committees and watch list meetings.
- Ensure strong risk acumen, and drive a culture of accountability and excellence across your team
- Facilitate ongoing development of your team to continually build on credit, risk, technical and leadership capabilities
- Role model a curious mindset and adoption of technology across your team and business, along with engagement with other GCS Project work
- Strong financial services industry experience, including experience in relationship management or within a GCS or business credit environment
- Demonstrated team leadership, coaching and people management skills. Whilst experience at a leadership level is highly regarded, consideration will also be given to applicants where leadership is in their career development plan and they can demonstrate a track record of high performance as a senior member of the team
- Extensive knowledge of bank and financial services products and services; and strong commercial acumen and risk knowledge
