Senior Communications Adviser (multiple roles)
- Salary: $106,534 - $128,897 (Plus Superannuation)
- Multiple Fixed term roles
- Usual hours of work: Full time (flexibility may be available)
- Usual work location: 121 Exhibition Street, Melbourne / remote (flexibility may be available)
- Regional Package (to 30 April 2025). The role will involve leading stakeholder engagement across government portfolios, local councils and community to establish a partnership approach to media and issues management. This engagement will deliver a strong pipeline of media, social media and other communications opportunities to tell the story of some of regional Victoria's biggest and best investments, including new and upgraded large sporting precincts. The successful applicant will thrive in a complex stakeholder environment and relish the high-profile nature of this program.
- Tourism, Sport and Major Events (to 18 July 2025). The role will help bring the government's investments in tourism projects, major events and sporting initiatives to life through storytelling in both traditional and online media. The successful applicant will enjoy a fast-paced environment; create diverse content that keeps people and local communities at the heart of stories; understand the state's metro and regional media landscape; and be adept at following and developing clear processes to support internal and external stakeholders in creating positive outcomes.
- Medical Research (to 31 October 2024). The role involves working closely with policy teams and research partners to promote the government's investments in medical research and related industries that create jobs, boost economic growth, advance health outcomes and save lives. The applicant will need to be able to translate complex research concepts into high impact human stories for a general audience and do this in a fast-paced environment.
- Skills and TAFE (to 30 June 2024). The role involves working in a fast-paced and complex environment to manage media and issues for the portfolio and deliver end-to-end communications to promote Victoria's TAFEs and the government's investments and initiatives that are boosting the state's skilled workforce and giving more Victorians opportunities to get the skills they need for the jobs they want.
- Proven ability to develop and deliver high-quality, innovative media and communication strategies and materials
- Strong experience providing expert communication and media advice and support to stakeholders
- Highly developed interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Proven ability to lead and manage communications and media projects and stakeholder relationships
- Proven ability to maintain composure, focus under pressure and adapt to change, and make a meaningful contribution to a high-performing team which delivers outstanding results
