Our state government client based in Perth’s southern suburbs is currently seeking an experienced Senior Communications Coordinator to fill their temporary vacancy. This is a temporary contract for 2.5 months whilst they recruit the role on a longer contract basis. This role is a great opportunity to work in an exciting organisation with a large focus on the tourism industry.
Your new role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Support corporate services with stakeholder communications, media management, public consultation, and corporate advertising
- Review content to ensure it meets government standards
- Provide digital communications support
- Assist with internal and external events
- Coordinate the media relations functions
- Assist with corporate sponsorship agreements
What you'll need to succeed
Your previous experience in a similar role will be essential, as will:
- Demonstrated experience in corporate communications, including branding and corporate plan development
- Extensive communications and engagement experience
- Highly developed communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience in project management
