There is currently one (1) permanent position available, based at the Keith Maine Centre in Whiteman. As a Senior Consultant PsychologistResidential Care, you will lead a team of dedicated psychologists who apply their clinical expertise to support the therapeutic care of some of the most vulnerable children and young people in the State.

Your primary role is to provide consultation and support to Residential Care Services and professional coordination of Residential Care psychologists. You will provide direct case supervision when needed, as well as assist with case load planning, referrals, complex cases, and planning within the broader Residential Care team. In this role, you will also focus on undertaking research and development of Psychological practice, and providing and enhancing sound clinical governance relevant to Residential Care and across the Department.

This is an ideal position for a Senior Psychologist with Therapeutic Residential Care experience and experience working with children, families and communities. This role will suit someone with demonstrated leadership skills and capacity to train and supervise in the fields of Therapeutic Care and Therapy Services. Qualification Requirements Senior Consultant Psychologist appointments are made at Specified Calling Level 4. To apply you must have a Master’s Degree in Clinical or Counselling or Forensic Psychology and

General Registration with the Psychology Board of Australia with an endorsement in either Clinical Psychology, Counselling Psychology, or Forensic Psychology area of practice. All overseas qualifications must be assessed for Australian equivalency. Each qualification must be assessed individually, and the assessment must confirm the equivalent Australian qualification level (i.e. equivalent to a Bachelor's or Master's degree).

This assessment can be conducted by Overseas Qualification Unit and the outcome evidence provided at the time of applying.
