We are seeking a Senior Contracts & Tendering Officer to join our Procurement Team. The Senior Contracts and Tendering Officer is responsible for managing the tender life cycle, engaging with internal business customers.

The Opportunity
As the Senior Contracts & Tendering Officer is responsible for managing the tender life cycle, engaging with internal business customers and the Commercial & Procurement Group to lead and control tendering activities across the Hunter Water business.
What you'll do:
- Own and coordinate Hunter Water's tender and contract activities concurrently in a high volume, high pressure environment supported by scheduling and prioritisation.
- Liaise with key stakeholders to understand, plan and prioritise contract and tender requirements on behalf of the Group.
- Prepare and review contract and tender documents for release to the market, manage active tenders and administer submitted tender responses in line with policies and procedures.
- Conduct and participate in continuous improvement across end-to-end tendering, contract and procurement processes in line with the Group's record and ERP systems to deliver best practice outcomes for Hunter Water.
- Organise and guide tender evaluations, act as point of contact and escalation during the tender process, ensuring conflicts of interest and probity are understood by all parties in line with the Probity Policy.
- Assist with managing supplier issues, performance, negotiations, contract variations and any commercial matters as a result of the tender process up to contract execution.
- Ensure tender and contract documentation, endorsement and approval is in line with Hunter Water's Delegated Authorities Manual.
- Prepare contract handovers and compile and deliver tender feedback to unsuccessful tenderer in a professional and controlled manner.
- Any other commercial or procurement task as directed.
What you'll need to be successful:
Essential Criteria:
- Qualifications in contracting, procurement or business management.
- ERP systems experience relating to supplier management, contracting and procurement.
- Delivers high quality outcomes, enjoys team interaction.
- Experience managing a variety of tasks in a high-pressure environment.
Desirable Criteria:
- Tertiary qualifications in contracts, procurement, supply chain or related field.
- Experience in a Utility or Government Sector.
