Location: Carrapateena, South Australia (60-minute flight from Adelaide / 30-minute flight from Port Augusta)
Roster: 5 days on; 2 days off or 4 days on: 3 days off

The Role
In the role 'Senior Cost Controller' you will be responsible for:
- The monthly cycle of gathering actual data, change and trend information, providing Lead and coordinate cost control activities
- Data consolidation, reporting and analysis of actual and plan data, providing analysis regarding variances to desired performance to key stakeholders
- Having accountability to systematically link and combine data sources such as SAP costs, schedule outputs, to provide project reporting and analysis.
- Being a subject matter expert in Power BI/Tableau, project costs in SAP and SAC
- Utilising actual performance and trend information to provide an ongoing and accurate picture of likely project Final Forecast Cost (FFC)
- Preparing and maintain project control budgets
- Monitoring impact of changes and potential risks as well as drive a proactive approach to delivery of the project's objectives within the approved budged on an assigned project(s)
- Assisting and managing contingency drawdown and administer change management
- Reconciliation of SAP to project cost system for both commitments and expenditure
- Tracking commitments and funding (CER's), estimating accruals /value of work done (VOWD) and forecasting the final cost
- Reviewing and recommending amendments to the project WBS and other coding structures
- Assist Package Leads to plan and source all related project information
- Tracking the progress of major projects through quantity manhour reporting and progress 'S' curves
- Control commitments against funding allocations
- Variance analysis (monthly movements & budget vs forecast)
Technical skills:
- Intermediate skills SAP or similar ERP is required
- Familiar with CMS preferred
- Understanding of Power BI, Tableau or similar tools
- High level of computer skills in Microsoft suite
- Understanding of procurement and contracting good practice
- Coordinate and conduct meetings
- Assistance with small project Estimate development (quantities, cost)
- Understanding of Direct and Indirect costs
- Ability to review and interpret internal and interpret third party estimates and schedules
- Attention to detail
- Clear written and oral communication
- Builds and maintains networks and relationships
- Gathers and exchanges information and ideas
- Develops trust and confidence and is an active listener
