About the Position:
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Customer Service superstar to join the Shire of Broome in the role of Senior Customer Service Officer.
The Senior Customer Service Officer will be responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of the Customer Service teams functions and ensuring a high level of service to all stakeholders, both external and internal.
You will provide direction and support to the Customer Service Team when dealing with routine counter and telephone enquiries, referring technical enquiries to the appropriate officer or department via the Shire's Customer Service Module. You will assist with bookings, events and Civic Centre enquiries and administration.

This is a permanent full-time position with an immediate start. Standard working hours Monday - Friday 7:45 am - 4:30 pm Rostered Day Off accruals.
About You:
Our ideal candidate will have the following:
- Excellent Customer Service, written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to relate effectively with a cross section of people and deal with agitated or difficult customers.
- High level of computer literacy and administration skills.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a Customer Service role or similar.
- Demonstrated ability to train and supervise staff and lead a small team.
- Ability to maintain confidentially and exercise discretion.
- Previous experience in a similar position within Local Government is desirable.
