About the role We are currently seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join the Digital Services team.As Senior Data Engineer you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining data pipeline architecture, data models, data stores and data infrastructure. As a technical leader, you will ensure that the Data Engineering team adheres to architectural standards and best practices. This role will be based within the Essential Energy footprint with the ability to work from home in a hybrid work environment. About You You will have several years of experience in a Data Engineering role with a demonstrated expertise in data integration, cleansing, modelling, warehousing and pipelining. In addition, you will have: Proficiency in Azure data technologies, including Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse Analytics Strong understanding of data modelling techniques like Kimball and Data Vault 2.0 Proficiency in ETL/ELT, SQL, Python, database design, distributed computing and cloud architecture Leadership skills to drive technical initiatives and mentor junior engineers Excellent problem solving, communication, collaboration and technical writing skillsRequird Qualifications Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Engineering or demonstrated capability through past employment experience and/or relevant qualifications.DesirableCertifications in Azure, Databricks or Data EngineeringWhy Essential Energy We offer competitive remuneration commensurate with skills and experience and 11% Superannuation.
