This role can be performed remotely Australia wide. Travel to the Melbourne office may be required in line with AITSL’s travel policy. This is a full-time opportunity through to 30 June 2025.
About the role
Leading the implementation of AITSL’s digital initiatives and ensuring BAU is well supported, the Senior Digital Advisor is an essential pillar in our digital team’s success. The role is instrumental in executing and delivering against AITSL’s digital strategy, streamlining processes, and ensuring that digital initiatives align with AITSL’s vision. This position is responsible for a wide range of digital activities, to ensure the effective and timely execution of outcomes from AITSL’s digital strategy, managing workflows, and driving a culture of best practice and standards across the organisation.
AITSL’s Digital team is a small dynamic team that ensures the successful delivery of a range of digital projects and initiatives designed to promote excellence in teaching and school leadership, the maintenance of AITSL’s digital products and reporting on our user metrics.
About you
- Substantial digital product experience, preferably within the government or not-for-profit sectors.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in information technology, digital, or a relevant field.
- Comprehensive understanding of the software development life cycle.
- Knowledge and experience of best practice approaches related to user experience, software development, operations, and proficiency in various programming languages.
- Demonstrable capability to manage BAU and implement delivery of strategic digital initiatives.
- Proficiency in requirements gathering and analysis, strong problem-solving skills, and acumen in liaising with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience in working with external vendors and managing outcomes to meet business needs.
- Familiarity with common product management, testing, and analytics tools like Jira, Confluence, Google Analytics, etc.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities. Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
