Senior Drainage Engineer

This role will see you enhance your capabilities and the reputation of WSP's Bridges, Roads & Aviation team. You will collaborate with talented professionals working on iconic projects to drive future-ready outcomes that will benefit clients and communities.Due to the ongoing success of our Victorian operations, our Bridges, Aviation & Roads team have a need for additional Drainage Engineering capability to join our dynamic Melbourne office. • Undertake surface water drainage and cross drainage design for roads, rail and civil projects
• Understanding of pavement and subsurface drainage design for roads and civil projects
• Undertake design, and model water quality measures for roads and civil projects
• Liaise with drafters for the production of the design drawings
• Prepare drainage design reports
• Assist in developing less experienced engineers in a collaborative team environment.

About YouYou will have:

• Bachelor or Masters' level degree in Civil Engineering (four year degree)
• Prior experience as a Senior Drainage Engineer (5+ years of experience)
• Proven recent Australian experience drainage design for major transport projects
• CPEng or equivalent industry recognition will be an advantage
• Rail Industry Worker accreditation is desirable
• You will have a good understanding of hydrologic and hydraulic modelling packages used in the design of road drainage, cross drainage and flood analysis, and ancillary drainage items such as scour protection and water quality control
• Proficiency in 12D for drainage design and analysis, is highly desirable, and experience in packages such as HECRAS, MUSIC, TuFlow would be advantageous
• A desire to develop skills and use Bentley SUDA for drainage design and analysis
