The Opportunity
We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Senior Technical Officer – (Electrical & Instrumentation) to join our Operations and Maintenance team in Darwin NT Australia on a Permanent fulltime basis.
Reporting to the Regional Manager North NT, you will play a key role in the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of high pressure natural gas pipeline assets, ensuring reliability and improvement opportunities are identified and implemented in the process control, instrumentation, electrical and electronic plant and supporting infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Contribute to the safe culture of the APA Group, looking out for your colleagues, our community, environment and yourself.
Operate and maintain pipeline and associated facilities (including equipment, stations, bases, grounds, vehicles & workshop) to reliably deliver energy for our customers.
Maintain current working knowledge of relevant instrumentation and electrical standards, codes and associated legislation.
Comply with APA Group’s HS&E Policy and procedures.
Utilise the Computerised Maintenance Management System to plan and record all the maintenance activities.
About You
Trade qualification – Electrical / Instrumentation
Proven industrial electrical and instrumentation experience in operations and maintenance
Demonstrated knowledge of HSE principles and commitment to safety
Strong interpersonal skills
Adaptability to changing priorities to maintain operations
Ability to act as a mentor and supervise contractors
High customer focus – internal and external
Ability to travel
