Technical Officer - Plan Sealing
About the team
The Plan Sealing team are responsible for the coordination of the assessment and endorsement of all survey plans submitted to the City before they are registered with the Titles Office. In this role, you will be working in a small and supportive team consisting of two Technical Officers and one Senior Plan Sealing officer and will directly report to the Supervisor Infrastructure Compliance
About your new role
The Technical OfficerPlan Sealing is responsible for the day-to-day processing and coordination of Plan Sealing applications, interpreting the information submitted on the applications, liaising with internal and external stakeholders and coordinating the final endorsement of the survey plan. This position also provides advice to many internal assessment officers and external stakeholders regarding the process for an application.

We're looking for people who have:
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities to evaluate and analyse various applications
- Proficiency in auditing and compliance to ensure adherence to legislative timeframes, and ability to ensure others meet deadlines
- Excellent coordination and organizational skills to manage multiple applications efficiently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Competence in case management to address issues within files and oversee the process from start to finish
- Effective communication skills to engage and consult with both internal (City of Gold Coast) and external (development industry) stakeholders clearly and efficiently
- Proficient research and investigation capabilities to gather and interpret information related to development applications
- Experience with the development assessment process is not essential but highly desirable
