About the role
Reporting to the EPCM Team Lead, the Senior Electrical Draftsperson will be responsible for production and maintenance of electrical design drawings for Horizon Power as well as participating in drafting activities as required to ensure HP design outcomes meet quality standards, budget and program as agreed by the business.
Some responsibilities of the role will include.
- Generating/maintaining Design Drawings such as Single Line Diagrams, Schematics, termination Diagrams, Layouts, panel diagrams, general arrangements and layouts of switchyard equipment including cabling and earthing and other technical drawings for the Design & replacement of old HV & LV equipment, adding control & protection for panels for 11kV, 22kV, 33kV, 66kV, 132kV & 220kV systems.
- Red line mark ups.
- Ensure the application of relevant design philosophies and standards are incorporated in all Power System and auxiliary equipment design drawings.
- Scoping of Drafting Packages relating to projects.
- Maintaining and adding to Horizon Power Drafting Cell Library.
- Stay abreast with current CAD and industry trends, annually make recommendations, perform risk analysis, and provide feedback and recommendations to management as to when we should upgrade equipment and software.
- Knowledge of ProjectWise Information Management System v8i and later, with experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of MicroStation Connect Version.
- Prioritisation and management of drafting deliverables of critical tasks when required.

In addition to sharing our passion, it is desirable that you will have:
- Diploma or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
- Diploma in electrical drafting and design.
- Experience interfacing between Engineering and Drawing Management professionals to define requirements for CAD Drafting.
- Understanding of electricity industry drafting requirements.
- Power system design requirements.
- Analytical and technical writing skills including word processing and spreadsheet analyses.
- Bentley MicroStation.
- Autodesk AutoCAD.
- Bentley Descartes.
- OpenText Content Suite 16.
- Bentley MicroStation - 3D CAD Software.
- EDI - Engineering Drawing Index.
- EDM - Engineering Data Management.
