The Position
- Immediate requirement for an experienced Senior Environmental & Sustainability Engineer to join our team on a full time, permanent basis.
- The role is to be part of the Sustainability and Environment team who primarily focus on ensuring that the companies Environmental and Sustainability mgmt. obligations are fully met.
- The role involves planning, controlling and continually improving our E & S processes, producing accurate reports & briefs around E & S matters and providing technical advice to the broader business
- Identifying and resolving environmental and sustainability issues in compliance with relevant legislation to ensure corporate advancements within environmental and sustainability
- Assess and determine the impacts surrounding company projects and plan, design and implement such that we minimise environmental impact and advance our future sustainability.
- With a long history of building some of NSW iconic buildings, A W Edwards will be around in the decades ahead and will be able to offer the successful Sustainability Coordinator a long-term career and opportunities to advance.
- The role involves working closely and collaboratively with site-based roles, including the provision of support to Estimating and Project Planning team.
- Project values range from $40M up to $600M and our diverse expertise across multiple sectors means that no one project is the same, allowing you to continue to learn new techniques.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience overseeing and managing Environmental & Sustainability performance within the construction or adjacent similar sector and/or relevant tertiary education degree
- Proven contribution to projects of similar sectors and values within the design and construction phases
- Knowledge and understanding of industry relevant tools and software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to establish and maintain effective collaborative and consultative working relationships, within and without the group
- Strong communication skills at all levels
- Self-motivated, adaptable and reliable
- Very strong attention to detail
