Senior Estimator - Cleaning

We are currently pursuing a successful growth strategy which has resulted in an internal promotion. As a result an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Estimator to join the sales & business development team. 

The Role

We’re seeking an experienced, talented Senior Estimator who thrives with the challenge of a service, roster industry where labour is the main cost factor. Who is experienced with understanding and modeling the variables of award rates with ingenuity and has a sophisticated level of Excel wizardry. We need a master who can craft and apply formulas with flair and finesse.

You will be a trusted member of our team who understands the importance of confidentiality and loyalty. You should be self-motivated and able to prioritise deadlines and communicate effectively with various business units to gather relevant bid-related information. Someone who has the smarts for sharp detailing and a genuine affinity with numbers to bolster new strategic directions. 

Specific Responsibilities

Working closely with the executive team to formulate financial proposals, your duties will include, but are not limited to:  

• Conducting walk-throughs for various sites for future prospective clients as well as existing customers. 
• Estimating labour, chemical and total cost of service. 
• Providing professional recommendations for commercial activities. 
• Assisting the bid team with tendering including unpacking the financial offer in tender schedules and forms. 
• Deliver accurate cost breakdowns and budgets with financial cadence. 
• Represent the business through interaction with the client at all levels providing exceptional customer service
• Observe and comply with safe work practices, policies and procedures relevant to the bid process and the broader business. 

The ideal candidate will possess the following;

• A tertiary qualification, ideally finance or accounting (or similar). 
• Proven experience contributing to the team effort by providing complex and detailed bid summaries to management including recommendations having regard for the strategic growth plan of the Company. 
• You should have the skills and experience to analyse and model the modern awards and industrial instruments with creativity and efficiency. 
• You should also be proficient in Excel and able to create and manage data within complex spreadsheets. 
• The ability to attend tender briefings, understand and interpret floor plans, spatial data, rostering, scheduling and prepare scope and specification summaries.
